Rodney
Roberts has been the head coach for
the Springboro Panthers for the past
three years. In 2004 he led the
team to a 10-2 record with a playoff
berth and the team as the #3 seed. The
team won its first playoff game in school
history. Coach Roberts focuses on each
individual player and has adapted his
approach on teaching the students based
on the specific needs of the player.
He has turned his team around both on
and off the field by pushing his players
to be as competitive in the classroom
as they are on the gridiron. Due to
Coach Roberts frequent academic support,
his players understand that “practice”
is not only a term that is used in athletics.
2004 was the most successful season to date,
in the school’s history. The stadium
was filled with fans and the community
is excited about the up and coming football
team. |
