2005 Hometown Huddle
This year’s project took place at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital at the College Hill Campus. Their staff and doctors have developed the idea of an all accessible wilderness trail and challenge course that will be used in the rehabilitation of children from ages 5 to teenagers. The course, which is known as a “Pars Course” is approximately ¼ mile long and consist of four stations along the way in which children can exercise. The equipment at each of the stations is put in place, based on the opinion of the doctors, that it can be instrumental in the rehabilitation of these children. The facilities are available for use to the public when not being used by patients of the medical center.
We once again teamed up with Home Depot, Best Buy, Baker Concrete, Ohio Casualty Group, Vonderhaar's Catering, Prestige Audio Visual, McDaniel's Photography, Landscape Associates, Outback Steakhouse, Baker Concrete and many more companies in order to make this project a success. They provided us with many of the tools we need to make this project.
Along with the Bengals, and their staff, we joined forces with Cincinnati area businesses to help us create this one of a kind facility. We team up with Cincinnati Bell, Best Buy, and Home Depot to get their employees involved on the 18th. For these companies it gives them and their employees a chance to give back to the community through volunteerism, and have a positive impact on the continued development and growth of Cincinnati’s children.
Special thanks to the participating companies:
