2007 Hometown Huddle Recap

Despite heavy rain, Hometown Huddle was a shining success on October 16 as more than 200 volunteers including Bengals players braved the weather to build a new playground and youth fitness course at Seasongood Square Park in North Avondale.
The fitness equipment, designed by GameTime, is designed to enhance a child's growth, encourage physical fitness, fight childhood obesity, and develop social skills such as teamwork and problem solving. Other park improvements constructed during the Hometown Huddle included new sidewalks, pathways and landscaping
On October 30, children from the Richard E. Lindner YMCA were invited to the dedication ceremony to be the first kids to play on the new playground. Surprise guests to help the kids break-in the equipment were Bengals players T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Jonathan Joseph, Andrew Whitworth, Stacey Andrews, and Kenny Irons.
The Marvin Lewis Community Fund woud like to thank the following partners for their help on this year's project: Cincinnati Bengals, United Way, Home Depot, Baker Concrete, Chiquita, Best Buy, Cincinnati Park Board, Castellini Group of Companies, Distinctive Signs, Game Day Communications, GameTime, Graphic Information Systems Inc., McDaniel Photography, National Football League, Ohio Casualty Group, Pavestone, Pepsi, Prestige Audio & Visual, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Quikrete, Rumpke, Starbucks, Sunbelt, Trophy Awards, Vonderhaar's Catering, West Chester Holdings, Weyerhauser, and Dave William's & Associates
