Learning is Cool

Learning is Cool

A program that will work within the Cincinnati Public School System with students in grades K-8. Currently there are 22,600 students that would be able to participate in the program. In 2005 and 2006 MLCF only included the Youth Football players through its YDTS program. We will now open it up to all students. If they make honor roll they will be included in the Academic Enrichment party where they will be awarded a medal of achievement.

The campaign is a collaboration with Interbrand, MLCF, Berman Printing, Procter & Gamble, AK Steel and select players. We will provide a Learning is Cool back packs that will include: letters to every parent, posters, pencils, buttons and other incentives for schools parents, students, teachers and principals.

Participating Bengals are:
Coach Lewis
Robert Geathers
T.J. Houshmandzadeh
Johnathan Joseph
Domata Peko

The goals are: to create awareness through a public campaign, have the CPS double the amount of students making honor roll in the 2008/2009 academic school year and triple in 2009/2010, roll out the educational initiative in August 2009 to kick off the school year, and to host an Academic Enrichment Party the last day of school at PBS.
